85% - Very Good

EaseUS Partition Master offers a decent, interactive, and easy-to-understand interface. When you click on any feature, a wizard takes you through a series of well-defined steps. Every option is clearly labeled, which ensures that even if you are a beginner, you know exactly what a feature or a sub-option is meant to do. EaseUS Partition Manager enlists all your disks with their file system, capacity, and type.

When you click on a disk, you can see a pie chart sort of graphical representation where you can ascertain how much free space is left. You can even right-click on a disk, and further have a look at the partition info.

90% - Excellent

1. Basic Functions On Partitions – Resize, Delete, Format, etc.:

Even with EaseUS free trial edition, you can perform all the basic functions that you would expect from a partition manager. You can easily resize, move, format, delete, merge, and split two or more partitions. In fact, on a personal front, we intended to extend a volume that was showing greyed out in the disk management. We were able to adjust partitions easily without any significant data loss. Not just that, we could move, resize and do other operations.

2. Clone Partitions:

Clone Partitions

With EaseUS Partition Master software, you can clone data placed on one of your partitions onto another partition. For instance, you can clone all the content on your D: drive to E: drive. Your target partition must have sufficient space.

3. Convert MBR to GPT:

Convert MBR to GPT

The reasons why you want to convert your MBR disk to GPT may include having an unlimited number of partitions, or it could be that you intend to install Windows 11 that explicitly needs a GPT partition style. Whatever your intent is, EaseUS Partition software makes this task easy for you. And, if you have an older computer, you can even convert GPT to MBR. You can also perform other disk converter functions, as seen in the screenshot above.

4. Clone Disk and Migrate OS:

EaseUS Partition Master lets you clone your entire disk onto another disk. For example, if you want to clone a specific hard disk to SSD, you would like to clone all files, partitions, and other data. The Partition Master from EaseUS makes it easy for you. Not just disk cloning, but you can also migrate your program or your entire Windows OS from your system disk to another disk of your choice.

5. Allocate Space:

If you run out of storage space on any of your drives, for example, the C: drive, a wise move would be to take space from a drive with unallocated free space. EaseUS Partition Master helps you do that. You can see how much space you would achieve after allocating both the source and the target drives.

6. Wipe Of or Format Partitions:

Wipe Of or Format Partitions

Let’s assume you want to sell your old computer. For once, you may think that just formatting the whole computer is sufficient. EaseUS Partition Manager takes your security in this regard a step further. It lets you wipe partitions so that the next user won’t be able to recover data even with the help of data recovery software. Although there aren’t many options available, you can specify the number of times you want to wipe a partition or disk. Here the more passes you choose, the better it is.

7. Partition Recovery:

Whether you choose EaseUS Partition Master Professional or trial, you get the Partition Recovery option in both variants. This feature can be helpful in case you have lost a partition while deleting it or in case of a myriad of computer issues. What this feature essentially does is that it scans all your attached disks and looks for any damaged or lost partitions.

8. SSD Alignment:

SSD Alignment

What if you have an SSD instead of a hard disk? EaseUS Partition Manager also takes care of this. It can help you optimize your SSD by using the 4K alignment. What this does is that it enables your SSD to adopt the smallest 4K sector in the file system. This will further help save data and improve its read and write speed. Consequently, it will also enhance your computer’s performance.
